The unit must be installed under an exhaust hood.
On-site ventilation
When installing an exhaust device, observe the following:

VDI Directive 2052, NFPA96 and local construction authority regulations
on exhaust hoods.
n
The exhaust device must protrude 300-500 mm [12 – 20inches] over the
front of the unit.
n
USA and Canada: The exhaust device must protrude 150-500 mm [6 –
20inches] over the front of the unit.
n
Install the unit underneath an exhaust device if using a VarioSmoker.
n
Install a fat filter into the protruding part of the exhaust device.
Extraction hood
An extraction hood (also for retrofitting) is available for the units. To install the
extraction hood, follow the installation manual supplied with the extraction
hood.
