Fishnderoverview
Theshnderapplicationprovidesadetailedviewoftheshand
seabedunderyourvessel,enablingyoutoaccuratelydistinguish
betweendifferentsizesofsh,bottomstructure,andunderwater
obstacles.Thestandardshnderimageisahistorical,scrolling
bottomgraphwithrangeandsonarfrequencyautomaticallyselected
bythesystem.
Thevariousfunctionsandfeaturesoftheshnderapplication
include:
•Presetmodesforeasyoptimaloperation.
•Displaymodes(Zoom,A-ScopeorBottomLock).
•Adjustablerangeandzoom.

Howtheshnderworks
TheshnderapplicationusesaDigitalSounderModule(DSM)and
asuitablesonartransducer.TheDSMinterpretssignalsfromthe
transducerandbuildsupadetailedunderwaterview.
Thetransducerislocatedonthebottomoftheboat,itsendspulses
ofsoundwavesintothewaterandmeasuresthetimeittakesforthe
soundwavetotraveltothebottomandback.Thereturningechoes
areaffectedbybottomstructureandbyanyotherobjectsintheir
path,forexamplereefs,wrecks,shoalsorsh.
Colorsareusedonthedisplaytoindicatethestrengthofthereturns.
Youcanusethisinformationtodeterminethebottomstructure,
thesizeofshandotherobjectsinthewater,suchasdebrisor
airbubbles
