2.2 FCC Requirements
2.3 UL Installation Requirements
The following is a list of requirements and restrictions which must be followed when installing the Model
4720 Control/Communicator in a UL installation.
2.3.1 Hardware
2.3.1.1 Hardware Requirements
1. The Model 4460C (commercial) or 4460R (residential) touchpad must be used.
2. All doorstrike wiring must be restricted to the same room (30 feet maximum) as the
touchpad.
2.3.1.2 Hardware Restrictions
The following models are NOT acceptable in UL applications:
Model 4130 Zone Expander (RF)
Model 7369 Two-Way Listen In Module
Model 4135 Remote Receiver (RF)
Model 4203 (4200) SlimLine Touchpad
2.3.2 Programming Options
2.3.2.1 Programming Requirements
1. The Total Attempts option must be set between five (5) and 10 attempts.
2. The Auto Test and Daily Test options must be enabled in commercial fire and burglary
applications.
3. The Audible Shutdown option must be programmed to the following minimum values:
Household Fire: 4 minutes
Commercial Burglary: 15 minutes
Household Burglary: 4 minutes
Commercial Fire: 5 minutes
WARNING:
This equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy, and if not
installed and used in strict accordance with this manual, may cause
harmful interference to radio communications. It has been tested and
found to comply with the limits for a Class A computing device
pursuant to Subpart J of Part 15 of FCC Rules, which are designed to
provide reasonable protection against such interference when
operated in a commercial environment. Operation of this equipment in
a residential area is likely to cause interference, in which case the user
will be required, at his or her own expense, to take whatever measures
may be required to correct the interference.
