16.10.2 CODE 2 key (Code 2 Residential Touchpads Only)
Code 2 refers to secondary access codes (Codes 10 - 99). Under normal operating conditions, these
codes can arm the system only. When Code 2 is enabled, these codes may also be used to disarm the
system.
16.10.2.1 To Enable Code 2
Press CODE 2 followed by your access code (0 - 9). At this time, Code 2 will be enabled
and the system will be armed.
16.10.2.2 To Disable Code 2
Disarm the system using a primary access code (0 - 9). This will disable the Code 2 function.
16.11 4150 Relay Access
To toggle a 4150 relay, press the relay number (1 - 8), then press either DOOR (commercial) or CODE 2
(residential), followed by your access code if needed.
16.12 Test Modes
The various test modes are described below. Test modes can only be accessed when the system is disarmed.
To access a test mode, press the digit assigned to it (see Table 16.12a below), then TEST, followed by Code
0 or Code 1. The system will always power up in the Set Time mode.
To return to the Normal Operating mode from a test mode, press MUTE, MUTE.
16.12.1 Dialer Test Mode
When the Dialer Test mode is accessed, the Model 4720 will send a “Dialer Test” to the central station
receiver. To activate a Dialer Test, press TEST followed by a valid access code that can be used to arm the
system.
16.12.2 Walk Test Mode
The Walk Test mode disables alarm reporting allowing the installer to test all of the zones. A 2-second
alarm will be sounded with each zone violation. The violated zones will be printed on the Model 5260
Printer Interface (or the Model 5255 Printer) if one is being used. Each violation will be stored by the
Model 4720 and can be viewed at the touchpad by pressing MEM (see Section 16.4: Alarm Memory).
16.12.3 Reset
The dialer will abort any calls in progress and the touchpads and smoke detectors will be reset.
