10.1.1 Auxiliary Power for Supervised Bells
The maximum bell current draw from Terminal 5 of the Model 4720 is 375 mA for NFPA 72 Local
Protective Signaling Systems, UL 864 installations. This equates to three (3) bells maximum (125
mA each). Additional bells can be used if the system includes the Model 4195 Auxiliary Power
Supply. The Model 4160 must be Revision D.2 or later (fused at 1.5 A FB). Connect Terminal 5 of
the Model 4160 to Terminal 3 or 4 of the Model 4195, instead of Terminal 5 of the Model 4720. The
maximum bell current is now 1 A (8 bells at 125 mA each). (Expected availability date of Revision
D.2 of the Model 4160 is 7/92.)
