BYPS
This key is used to bypass (deactivate) individual zones (sensors) from system monitoring or
control. It also allows you to check which zones have been bypassed.
MEM
When the system is disarmed, pressing this key turns on the zone lights that correspond to any zones
that were in an alarm condition since the last time the system was armed.
CODE 2
This key controls whether or not the secondary access codes (Codes 10 - 19) can be used to disarm
the system.
TEL
This key controls the telephone functions (see the Homeowner's Manual, P/N 150477). The TEL
key cannot be used if a door access system has been installed. See Section 16.4: Alarm Memory.
MUTE
This key silences the audible trouble signal. Pressing MUTE will also exit any of the special test
modes and return the Model 4720 to normal operation. (The CHM and INT keys toggle
simultaneously.)
CHM
The CHM key controls whether or not a chime tone will be generated when someone enters a chime
zone while the system is disarmed.
ICOM
The ICOM key controls the intercom functions (see the Homeowner's Manual, P/N 150477).
CLR
If you make a mistake while entering a code or command, press CLR to clear the incorrect data,
then start over.
TEST
This key is used to enter a variety of test modes.
POL
When pressed and held for one full second, this key transmits an alarm to the central monitoring
station, so that the police will be dispatched (typically silent alarm). (Must be disabled in a UL
commercial fire installation.)
FIRE
When pressed and held for one full second, this key transmits an alarm to the central station so that
the fire department will be dispatched. (Must be disabled in a UL commercial fire installation.)
AUX (Auxiliary)
When pressed and held for one full second, this key transmits an alarm to the central station, for
panic situations (typically silent alarm). (Must be disabled in a UL commercial fire installation.)
