GX-3R Pro Operator’s Manual Chapter 3: Operation34
Oxygen-Enriched Atmospheres
The GX-3R Pro is not intended for use in oxygen-enriched atmospheres.
WARNING: Do not use the GX-3R Pro in an environment whose oxygen concentration is
above 21% .
H
2
-Compensated CO Detection
GX-3R displays CO readings.
•H
2
reading is not displayed but “H2 RICH” appears once the H
2
concentration rises above
2000 ppm.
Interference Information
Some gases interfere with CO, H
2
S, and super toxic sensors. For a complete list of these gases,
see page 200.
CO
2
Detection
A background level of CO
2
exists in fresh air. table 6 below indicates a typical gas reading
in fresh air.
Performing a demand zero, an auto zero, or an AIR CAL will either set to CO2 channel to
400 ppm (0.04% volume) or exclude the CO2 channel based on the setting of the
CO2AIR SETTING User Mode parameter. See page 112 for more information.
