Recommended cleaning/disinfection agents Gently wipe the meter’s surface with this clean-
ing agent:
• A soft cloth, slightly dampened (not wet) with
a small amount of liquid soap diluted in w
ater
Use the following agents for cleaning and disin-
fection:
• A soft cloth, slightly dampened (not wet) with
a small amount of rubbing alcohol (70% eth-
anol or isopropyl alcohol)
• A soft cloth, slightly dampened (not wet) with a
small amount of alcohol-based
disinfectant (a
mixture of 1-propanol (400mg/g), 2-propanol
(200mg/g) and glutaraldehyde (1.0 mg/g))
• Disposable wipes (containing quaternary
ammonium compounds up to 0.5% (single
compound or mixture) in isopropyl alcohol
(isopropanol) up to 55%)
Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist
to recommend commercially available wipes
containing the acceptable cleaning/disinfec-
tion agents.
