Maintenance A maintenance message requires your immedi-
ate attention. The meter may stop working tem-
porarily. Some examples:
• The batteries are empty.
• The test strip has expired.
• The meter may detect a problem when per-
forming a self-check.
Almost always you can fix the problem by follow-
ing the instruction in the maintenance message.
You can insert new batteries or start the test
again with a new test strip. Or the meter often
fixes a problem itself when you power it off and
on again.
1 Read the whole maintenance message and
the suggested action.
2 Press the Enter button to confirm the mes-
sage.
3 Take the action suggested in the message.
