7. Using a 5/8" wrench, retain the screw (H) and with the ratchet wrench and 11/16"
socket loosen the nuts (J) connecting the lifting frame section and the power link
(I), taking care to retain all parts and note the location of the nylon washers (K).
8. Using a 9/16" wrench, retain the screw (D) and with the ratchet wrench and 9/16"
socket loosen the nuts (E) connecting the elevation frame section and the
elevation arm, taking care to retain all parts and note the location of the nylon
washers (C).
CAUTION: WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SCREWS, THE BASE STRUCTURE
WILL DROP DOWN, HOLDING THE BASE IN PLACE.
9. Using the ratchet wrench and 5/8" socket, loosen the screws (B) connecting the
elevation frame section to the upper frame and remove the assembly. Support
the assembly when removing the last screw, noting the location of the nylon
washers (C).
10. Reverse the above steps to install the new elevation frame.
11. Check that the bed is working properly before putting it back into service.
