Thisfunctionresetsthemainmemoryofthesystemtothefactorydefaultsetting.Itcanbeusedtoresetthesystemtothe
initialvaluewhentheproductisfunctioningabnormally.Alltheuserconguredvaluesreturntothedefaultvalues.
Toclearthemainmemory,usersneedtoselectthecountryofthesystemlocates,andrebootingofthesystemisrequired.

•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance>DeviceCongurationDataClear
-Thisfunctionformatsalldevicecongurationdata,forexample,userprole,addressbook,anddevicessettings,
ontheharddisk.
•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance>TemporaryandSpoolDataClear
-Thisfunctionformatsalltemporaryandspooldatasavedontheharddisk.
•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance>UserSavedDataandLogDataClear
-Thisfunctionformatsalltheuserdata,forexample,boxdata,pendingsecurejobs,font,form,macro,datarelated
applications,andjoblog,ontheharddisk.
•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance>AllSavedDataClear
-Thisfunctionformatsallthedatathatcanbeerasedwith3functionsabove.ThefunctionwillNOTformatthe
harddiskentirely.
•ServiceFunctions>HardDiskMaintenance>HardDiskCheck
-Thisfunctionchecksabadsectorintheharddisk.Ifabadsectorisfound,thesystemwilldisplayanerrormessage
andsendanemailnoticationtothesystemadministrator.

Thisfunctionreducestheuseoftonerupto30%andonlyappliestomonochromeprinting.

•ServiceFunctions>Port
Thisfunctionenables/disablesremoteconnectionstothesystemviatelnet,OSGIcommandshell,andSMB(samba)protocol.
Thisfunctioncanbeusedwhenthereisaproblemthatrequiresdeveloperstoaccessthesystemorwhenthereisaneedfor
developerstouploadapplicationsforatest.
Sinceenablingthoseportscancreatesariskofdamagingdatastoredinthedevice,agreementoftheadministratorofthe
customersiteisnecessary.Theusermustloginastheadministratortoenable/disabletheservices.
