9.9.3 Special Notes
„DCU-address“ must be the same address, which had been assigned during installation of
the host computer. When the address is “0” (zero), no communication is possible. This ad-
dress indicates that the interface is not configured completely (which may occur after a
software reset of the system.
Plug assignment plans of the host computer interface are described in details in the Techni-
cal Manual DCU - system. A detailed description of the protocoll for communication with the
host computer is included in the „Description of Interfaces Host Computer - DCU - System„.
If necessary, these documents are available on request.
If the RS 232 is used as host interface (see menu „MAINTENANCE, Commun. Parameters,
HOST“), the host interface is inactive and the „PERI“pheral interface is active.
If [Port: Ethernet] is selected, no communication parameters can be set. In this case the
communication is done via the DCU-IP address.
