14 SUPPLEMENT
14.1 Alarms, Meanings and Remedial Measures (Troubleshooting)
14.1.1 Process Alarms
The operator can individually switch-on and off the alarms referred to in the table below :
Text of alarm line Meaning Remedial measures
„Name State alarm ...“ Alarm of digital input „name“ confirm alarm with 'ACK'nowledge
„Name low alarm ...“ the process value „name“ is below its
lower limit threshold
confirm alarm with 'ACK'nowledge
„Name high alarm ...“ the process value „name“ is below its
upper limit threshold
confirm alarm with 'ACK'nowledge
„Fuse blown ...“ automatic cut-out of the supply unit is
activated
switch on automatic cut-out again; if
alarm is repeated contact service
„Heater failure ...“ overheat protection of thermostat cy-
cle is activated
thermostat cycle must be refilled
(see details in Operating Manual of
fermentor)
„Motor failure ...“ overheat protection of motor is acti-
vated
let motor cool down before switch-
ing on fermentor again
„TEMP Sens. failure ...“ Pt-100 in culture vessel is defective or
cable not plugged
check cable /plug, if connection is
ok, sensor may be defective, then
replace sensor
„JTEMP Sens. failure ...“ Pt-100 in thermostat cycle is defective contact BBI´s customer service
„TURB Sens. failure ...“ sensor turbidimetry measurement dis-
connected or defective
check sensor; replace, if necessary
