9.1 Removing and Replacing a Detector Module
Removal of a detector may be necessary for maintenance, or repair, or for access to the mounting bracket at
the rear of the optical block. The following procedure explains how to remove and replace a detector.
The detector modules should be regarded as “fragile”: Take care not to drop or otherwise shock them whilst
they are removed from the optical block. Take precautions to ensure that they are kept clean. Remember that
high voltages are present inside each module: do not work on detector modules with the power / control
cables connected and do not open them.
