3.3.2 GPS/GLONASS antenna
In order to ensure optimum performance of the DPS 200 system, Seatex recommends that the
selected antenna site (Antenna Plan Drawing) is forwarded to Seatex for comments.
The space above the GPS/GLONASS antenna has to be free of any obstructions, see drawing
on page 47.
Both the GPS/GLONASS and the IALA Beacon antennas should be protected from direct
radiation from radar beams and other transmitting antennas such as Inmarsat antennas.
The antenna cable should also be protected from radiation. Run the cable in a steel pipe in
areas where the danger for radiation is high.
3.4 DPS 200 cabinet mounting
The cabinet should be securely mounted. Drilling plan for the resilient mountings is included
in the attached drawing 36200-MA-018 on page 44.
The DPS 200 cabinet must be connected to a grounded outlet.
We recommend that the cables attached to the rear of the unit should be long enough to
accommodate all service from the front.
The cabinet must be mounted in such a way that the minimum cable bends (on the rear side)
are not exceeded, see Appendix B. For the antenna cable it may be necessary to use the short
transition RG-213 or RG-214 cable in order to route the cables properly into the cabinet.
For mounting of DPS 200 systems delivered without cabinet, see Appendix G.
