4.1 Safety notes
Will cause death, serious personal injury, or equipment damage.
Turn off and lock out all power supplying this equipment before working on this device.
Open transformer circuits will result in electric shock and arc flash hazards.

When using the current transformers, the circuit is not protected by a fuse.
• Do NOT use fuses for circuit protection.
• The secondary circuit of the current transformer must remain closed when the
transformer is under load.
• Short circuit the secondary current terminals of the current transformer before removing
this device.
The safety instructions for the applied current transformers must be followed.

• Always open or disconnect circuit from power distribution system (or server) of building
before installing or servicing current transformers.
• The current transformers may not be installed in equipment where they exceed
75 percent of the wiring space of any cross-sectional area within the equipment.
• Restrict installation of current transformers in an area where it would block ventilation
openings.
• Restrict installation of current transformers in an area of breaker arc venting.
• Not suitable for Class 2 wiring methods and not intended for connection to Class 2
equipment.
• Secure current transformers and route conductors so that they do not directly contact
