6.3.1.2 Communication parameters
Communication parameters
Setting the communication parameters in powerconfig:
1. In menu item "Views", select the sub-menu "Communication".
The "Communication" window opens.
2. Move the "Locked" slider in the "Communication" window.
After it has been moved, the text of the slider changes to "Unlocked".
3. The communication parameters can be configured as required.
4. Changed communication parameters have to be transferred to the device. For this purpose,
the "Load changes to communication parameters to device(s)" symbol is operated.
The symbol is in the "Communication" window.
On: Network settings are assigned automatically. (default setting)
Off: Network parameters must be entered manually.
Manual setting of the IP address is only possible when DHCP is deactivated.
Format: 000.000.000.000
Manual setting of the Modbus port is possible.
(502 default setting)
Manual setting of the subnet is only possible when DHCP is deactivated.
Format: 000.000.000.000
Manual setting of the gateway is only possible when DHCP is deactivated. In the case of data exchange
with an IP address which is not in the home subnet, the data can be transmitted via a gateway. The
gateway interconnects different networks.
The MAC address is in a read-only mode.
6.3.1.3 Transferring the parameters to the device
The parameters are entered and changed in offline mode. In order to load the parameters to
the device, proceed as follows:
1. Open the powerconfig configuration software.
2. In menu option "Views", select the sub-menu "Properties" or alternatively press the "Ctrl" and
"Pos1" keys simultaneously.
The "Properties" window is displayed.
3. Adapt the parameters as required.
4. In the "Properties" window, click on the "Load to device" button.
The parameters are loaded into the molded case circuit breaker.
