When you connect the shielding to ground on only one side (i.e., at the beginning or end of the
line), you limit attenuation to the lower frequencies.
A one-sided shielding connection may be more suitable in the following cases:
• No line for potential equalization can be laid.
• Analog signals (some mA or μA) are transmitted.
• Foil shields (static shields) are used.
