01.93 4 Programming of Motion Blocks
4.3.5 Tapping without compensating chuck (SINUMERIK 880 GA2)
The spindle speed that you program in the selection block only applies to the tapping
operation, i.e. when you switch back to spindle operation, a new S word and the direction of
rotation must be programmed. Feedrate override and the feedrate enable, feed hold, dry run
and single block remain active.
Selecting the tapping cycle
If G203/204 is not active, L84 is called when L84 and/or G84 is programmed. If G203/204 is
active, the cycle which is stored in the machine data (the machine data is set with 841 as
standard) is automatically called when L84 or G84 is programmed.
Reset/M02/M30
On Reset/M02/M30, rotary axis operation is deselected or maintained depending on the setting
in the machine data.
Block search
On block search or NC Start after a block search, the last valid G function is activated and
possibly rotary axis or spindle operation is then triggered. G205 is activated if no G function
from G group 23 is found.
