5.22 How editing is basically done
There are 3 ways to enter charcters in order to create user text.
The LCD always serves as monitor.
select NUMBER, LETTER, WORD: (0, F1, F2) «0» to enter a number
«F1» to enter a letter
«F2» to enter a word
a) NUMBER
To indicate the room or floor number etc.
 digit 0...9 can be entered directly by the keypad
b) LETTER
To compose words.
 selectable from a ’letter bar’ shown in the LCD by moving the cursor to the desired
character
c) WORD
The most frequent words can be selected from an internal word list (library).
 selectable by entering the corresponding word number, listed in this document
A character or word is always inserted at the current cursor position. Therefore, always
move the cursor
(see page 103) where a number, letter or word has to be inserted before key
’0’, ’F1’ or F2 is selected.
 Enter ’NUMBER’  press key «0»
Available characters: Use keys «0» to «9» of the keypad
Procedure:
1. select digit by pressing key «0» to «9»
digit is inserted within text line
(enter further digits) if wrong input  press key «ok» and delete character(s)
Terminate input:
1. press key «ok»
cursor jumps to the end of the line
2. press key «ok» entry is terminated within this text block
3. press key «Start/Stop» text is saved
 Enter ’LETTER’  press key «F1»
Available characters: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ ,.;:+−()=/’ key «F2»  lower case letters
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ,.;:+−()=/’ key «F1»  upper case letters
Procedure:
1. move the cursor to the desired character
character ’underline’ indicates position
2. press key «ok» character is inserted within text line
(enter further characters, also blanks) if wrong input  press key «0» then «ok»and delete character(s)
Terminate input:
1. press key «0»
cursor jumps to the left upper corner
2. press key «ok» cursor jumps to the end of the text line
3. press key «ok» entry is terminated within this text block
4. press key «Start/Stop» text is saved

 Enter ’WORD’  press key «F2»
Available words from the ’word library’: see page 104
Procedure:
1. enter word number and press key «ok»
word is inserted within text line
(enter further words) if wrong input  press key «ok» and delete word
Terminate input:
1. press key «ok»
cursor jumps to the end of the text line
2. press key «ok» entry is terminated within this text block
3. press key «Start/Stop» text is saved
