6 - Power Supply Maintenance
A CN-Series system has two hot-swappable power supplies. If a power supply fails, replace it as soon as
possible.
When the OmniCube is deployed in a Federation, you receive notifications of power supply problems as
events and errors displayed in VMware vSphere.
Guidelines for Maintaining Power Supplies
Follow these guidelines for maintaining power supplies:
You can replace a CN-Series system power supply without disrupting operations if an alternate,
functioning power supply is installed and connected to power.
For proper cooling, do not leave a power supply slot open. Do not remove a power supply until you are
ready to replace it.
A CN-Series system can operate with only one functioning power supply. However, replace a failed
(or failing) power supply as soon as possible.
Replace a power supply only with a power supply of the same type and wattage. See your support
provider for replacement power supplies.
