casesthiswilltakeplaceautomatically.However,wehaveexperiencedthatlarge

schoolsofshordifcultbottomconditionshavedeceivedtheEK80todisplaythe

wrongdepth.Inthesecasesthesoundermaydisplaythebottomat0.0metresatthetop

oftheshschool.InordertoaidtheEK80tolocatethecorrectdepth,youmustadjustto

bottommaximumandminimumrangesaccordingtotheactualbottomdepth.

YoumustneverturnofftheEK80bymeansoftheon/offswitchontheProcessorUnit.

YoumustalwaysclosetheEK80programbyselectingExitonthetopbar.

Context

WhenyoudonotusetheEK80,turnoffthedisplayandtheProcessorUnit.Ifyouare

notusingtheEK80foralongperiodoftime,werecommendthatyouturnofftheWide

BandTransceiver(WBT).Usetheon/offswitchonthepowersupply,ordisengage

thecircuitbreakers.

Procedure

1SelectExitonthetopbar.

ObservethattheEK80programclosesdown.

Tip

IftheEK80ProcessorUnitisusedasaserverwithoneormoreclientsconnected,a

relevantmessagewillappear.Werecommendthatyouturntheseclientsoffrst.

ClosingdowntheEK80programwithclientsconnectedwilltakelongertime.

2IftheProcessorUnitdoesnotturnitselfoffautomatically,usethefunctionality

providedbytheoperatingsystemtoturnitoffmanually.

3Turnoffthedisplay.

Ifrequired,refertotheinstructionsprovidedbythedisplaymanufacturer.

4Turnoffeachtransceiver.

TheWideBandTransceiver(WBT)isnotttedwithanon/offswitch.Y oucan

leavetheunitpermanentlyturnedon.IfyouarenotusingtheEK80foralong

periodoftime,disconnectthepowersupply.
