TheEK80allowsyoutorecordbothrawandprocessedechodata.Thedataaresaved
ontheProcessorUnitharddisk,oronanexternaldatastoragedevice,accordingto
thepreferencesyouhavedened.
Context
FileSetupcontrolshowandwheretherecordedlesaresavedontheProcessorUnit
harddisk,oronanexternalstoragedevice.Byaddingaprextothelenamesyou
canidentifythelesyouhaverecordedduringaspecicmissionorsurvey.Youcan
alsodeneamaximumsizeoftheles.
Tip
Thedataleswillnormallybecomeverylarge.Ifyouwishtorecordlargeamountsof
EK80data,makesurethatyouhaveenoughspaceonyourharddisk.Unlessyour
ProcessorUnitisequippedwithaverylargedisk,werecommendthatyousavethe
datatoanexternalstoragedevice.
Setuptheleandfolderparametersbefore
youstarttherecording.Ifyouwishto
saveyourrecordeddataonanexternalharddisk,makesurethatitisconnectedto
theProcessorUnit.
Ifthecurrentlesizegetstoobigduringrecording,selectSplitFileontheRecordRA W
button.Thiswillclosethecurrentle,andthenautomaticallycontinuerecordingtoa
newle.RecordRA WislocatedontheOperationmenu.
Procedure
1OpentheOperationmenu.
2SelectOutput.
ObservethattheOutputdialogboxopens.Thisdialogboxcontainsanumberof
pagesselectedfromthemenuontheleftside.
3IntheOutputdialogbox,selectFileSetup.
4OntheFileSetuppage,denetherecordingparameters.
aDenetheoutputdirectoryfortherecordedles.
Inordertochangetheoutputdirectory,bothRecordRA WandRecordProcessed
recordingmustbesettoOff.Thesamefolderisusedforbothrawand
processedles.

Byaddingaprextothelenamesyoucanidentifythelesyouhave
recordedduringaspecicmissionorsurvey.
