Prerequisites
TheEK80isinstalledasspeciedintheEK80andEC150-3Cinstallationmanuals.
•TheEK80isturnedoff.
•TheEC150-3CisinstalledintheEK80userinterface.
•AllrelevantexternalsensorsareconnectedtotheEK80.Thesensorsareturned
onandoperatenormally.
•Thevesselisberthed.
Neithertoolsnorinstrumentsarerequired.
Caution
YoumustneversettheEK80to"ping"unlessthetransducerissubmergedinwater.
Thetransducermaybedamagedifittransmitsinopenair.
Procedure
1MakesurethattheEK80unitshavebeensetuptooperatewiththesupplyvoltage
youhaveavailable.
2Makesurethatthetransducercableisnotinstalledclosetopowercables.
3TurnallEK80systemunitson.
4OntheProcessorUnitdesktop,double-clicktheEK80icontostarttheprogram.
5OpentheAboutdialogbox.
6Makesurethatthelatestsoftwareversionisinstalled.
7Selectoperatingmode:Echosounder
aOpentheOperationmenu.
bSelectNormalOperation.
cToactivateechosounderoperation,clickthesmalloptionbuttonontheleft
