Installingoneormoretransducers
ThetransducersyouwishtousewiththeEK80mustbe"installed"asapartofthe
softwareconguration.Whichtransducerstousedependsonthenumberoftransceivers
inyoursystem,andthelicensesyouhaveforthese.Unlessyoureplaceabroken
transducer,oraddanew,youonlyneedtodothisonce.
Prerequisites
ItisassumedthattheEK80softwarehasbeeninstalled,andthatallrelevantlicense
stringshavebeenapplied.Y ouneedtoknowthetypeandserialnumberofeach
transducerthatyouwishtoinstall.
Context
EachtransducerisaddedusingtheTransducerInstallationpage.TheTransducer
InstallationpageislocatedintheInstallationdialogbox.
YoucanonlychooseatransducerfromtheModellist.Thelistisgeneratedfroma
systemleonyourProcessorUnit.Itcontainsallthetransducersthatarecompatible
withthetransceiver(s)youhave.Thelistalsoincludestechnicalspecicationsforeach
transducer.Youcannotseethisinformation,butitisusedbytheEK80tosetupthe
operationalparameters.Thisallowseachtransceivertooptimiseitsperformancefor
theindividualtransducermodels.
Ifyoucannotndyourtransducerinthelist,contactyoudealer,agentorKongsberg
MaritimetoupgradetherelevantsoftwarecomponentintheEK80.

JustmakingchangesandselectingOKatthebottomofthepagewillnotinstallanything.
Selectwhattoinstall,denetherelevantparameters,andthenselectAdd.
Procedure
1OpentheSetupmenu.
2OntheSetupmenu,selectInstallation.
ObservethattheInstallationdialogboxopens.Thisdialogboxcontainsanumber
ofpagesselectedfromthemenuontheleftside.
3OntheleftsideoftheInstallationdialogbox,selectTransducerInstallation.
4SelectthetransduceryouwishtoinstallfromtheModellist.

Makesurethatyouselectatransducerthatissupportedbyyourcurrentlicense.
5Inserttheserialnumber.
