Place fabric under presser foot 12 mm from rear of fabric.
Align the right edge with one of the seam guidelines on the
needle plate. Lower the presser foot.
Backstitch to the edge of the fabric for reinforcement by
pushing in the reverse button located in center of the stitch
length dial. Hold button in until stitching reaches edge of
fabric. Release push button for forward stitching.
• For tricot, and other similar synthetic knits, apply
gentle tension by holding the fabric at the front and
back of presser foot as you sew. Do not pull fabric.
•
1- Replace regular presser foot with 1/4” foot.
2- Set stitch length to “2” by turning stitch length dial.
3- Set the stitch width selector to straight stitch and
needle position selector in center position.
4- Place fabric under the presser foot so that the row edge
lines up exactly with the right or left outside edge of
foot. To seam allowance 1/8”, align the fabric edge
with guidelines under the foot.
5- The seam allowance will be exactly 1/4” or 1/8”.

For fine fabrics or with unusual amount of elasticity,
such as stretch knits (helanca) or Lycra, hold the fabric
firmly both fabric and threads at the front and back to
start a seam. Following this procedure, the stitch will
not pucker.
