1. Move the stitch width selector to its straight stitch
position (illustration 2).
2. Set stitch length selector dial at 0 (zero) (illustration
3).
3. Open top cover lid (illustration 4). Turn hand wheel
until pattern module is in the indicated position, then
lift pattern module latch to vertical position
(illustration 5).
4. Pull the pattern module out.
over engaging pin and rotate
to align slot with extension on the module driver. Press
the pattern module all the way down until it is properly
seated. Engage latch to secure module. In order to
choose the desired pattern group, see instruction on
page 48.

Pattern stitching module
In addition to straight stitch and zig-zag stitch, your
machine can produce a variety of stitches patterns. The
modules number 1, 2 and 3 produce decoratives and
flexible stitches and modules 4 and 5 produce quilting
stitches (illustration 1).
Five pattern modules come with your machine. One is
already in the machine and is interchangeable with the
other in the accessory storage..
Some patterns are purely decorative while others are used
for practical purposes are well.
