SPOOL PINS AND SPOOL CAPS
Yourmachinehastwospoolpins,amainspoolpinandanauxiliaryspoolpin.Thespoolpinsaredesignedforalltypesofthread.
Themainspoolpinisadjustableandcanbeusedinahorizontalposition(thethreadreelsoffthestationaryspool)orinavertical
position(thethreadspoolrotates).Usethehorizontalpositionforallregularembroiderythreadsandtheverticalpositionforlarge
spools or specialty threads.
Auxiliary Spool Pin
Theauxiliaryspoolpinisusedwhenwindingabobbinfroma
secondspoolofthread.
Lifttheauxiliaryspoolpinupandtotheright.Slideonaspool
cap.Forspoolssmallerthanthemediumsizespoolcap,place
afeltpadunderthethreadspooltopreventthethreadfrom
reelingofftoofast.Forlargerspools,thefeltpadshouldnotbe
used.
Horizontal Position
Liftthespoolpinupslightlyfromitshorizontalpositionto
easily place the thread spool on the pin. The thread should reel
overthetop,inacounterclockwisedirection,asshowninthe
picture.Slideonaspoolcapandthenmovethespoolpinback
tothehorizontalposition.
Eachmachinecomeswithtwospoolcapsonthespoolpin.
Formediumsizedthreadspools,themediumsizedcap(A)is
placedinfrontofthespool.Forlargethreadspools,thelarge
cap(B)isplacedinfrontofthespool.
Theatsideofthespoolcapshouldbepressedrmlyagainst
thespool.Thereshouldbenospacebetweenspoolcapand
thread spool.
Asmallspoolcapisincludedasanaccessoryforyourmachine.
The small spoolcapcanbeusedforsmallthreadspools.
Note: Not all thread spools are manufactured in the same
way. If you experience problems with the thread, turn it in the
opposite way or use the vertical position.
Vertical Position
Liftthespoolpinupandallthewaytotheright.Lockthe
spoolpinintheverticalpositionbyslightlypressingitdown.
Slideonthelargespoolcap.Forspoolssmallerthanthe
mediumsizespoolcaporwhenusingspecialtythreads,place
a feltpadunderthethreadspooltopreventthethreadfrom
reelingofftoofast.Forlargerspools,thefeltpadisnotneeded.
Note: No spool cap should be placed on top of the spool as this
prevents the spool from rotating.
Note: When the spool pin is used in the vertical position, the
thread tension might need to be adjusted manually.
