11 OPTIONS
11.1 SECONDARY GUARDING
DEVICE
Self-propelled aerial boom lifts are designed to transport
persons, tools and materials to aerial work locations.
Operating the machine from the platform with your back
turned towards the telescoping direction of the boom
and your eyesight facing the luffing direction of the
boom it is possible to miss obstacles behind or over-
head in time. Such oversight or any accidental operation
may result in life-threatening hazards. The secondary
guarding device can protect the operator by preventing
them from being pinched.
Unsafe Operation Hazard
• The secondary guarding device
may only be installed on models/
in markets as specified by
Sinoboom.
• Before using the secondary
guarding device, the safety rules
and all operating instructions
should be read, understood and
observed. This manual should be
considered part of the secondary
guarding device and should al-
ways be kept with it.
