2. With the machine traveling in non-operating posi-
tion, push downward the high/low drive speed se-
lector switch, and the travel speed will be switched
to low speed and the high drive speed indicator light
will be out.
3. With the machine in operating position, the machine
can only travel at low speed.
7.8 BOOM MOVEMENTS
Do not position the boom above the horizontal
while driving the machine on slopes exceeding
the maximum allowable tilt angle.
Perform operation from the ground:
1. Raise the main boom: Move and hold the enable
switch and push the main boom luffing switch up-
wards – the main boom will be raised.
2. Lower the main boom: Move and hold the enable
switch and pull the main boom luffing switch down-
wards – the main boom will be lowered.
3. Extend the main boom: Move and hold the enable
switch and push the main boom telescoping switch
to the right – the main boom will be extended.
4. Retract the main boom: Move and hold the enable
switch and push the main boom telescoping switch
to the left – the main boom will be retracted.
5. Raise the articulated boom: Move and hold the
enable switch and push the articulated boom luffing
switch upwards – the articulated boom will be
raised.
6. Lower the articulated boom: Move and hold the
enable switch and pull the articulated boom luffing
switch downwards – the articulated boom will be
lowered.
7. Raise the jib: Move and hold the enable switch
and push the jib luffing switch upwards – the jib will
be raised. (if equipped)
8. Lower the jib: Move and hold the enable switch
and pull the jib luffing switch downwards – the jib will
be lowered. (if equipped)
Perform operation from the platform:
Note: When operating from the platform, the speed of
main boom luffing is in direct proportion to the travel dis-
tance of the handle. The shorter the travel distance, the
slower the speed.
1. Raise the main boom: Depress the foot switch
and push the main boom luffing/turntable slewing
control handle forward – the main boom will be
raised.
2. Lower the main boom: Depress the foot switch
and pull the main boom luffing/turntable slewing
control handle backward – the main boom will be
lowered.
3. Extend the main boom: Depress the foot switch
and pull the main boom telescoping switch down-
wards – the main boom will extend.
4. Retract the main boom: Depress the foot switch
and push the main boom telescoping switch up-
wards – the main boom will retract.
5. Raise the articulated boom: Depress the foot
switch and push the articulated boom luffing switch
upwards – the articulated boom will be raised.
6. Lower the articulated boom: Depress the foot
switch and pull the articulated boom luffing switch
downwards – the articulated boom will be lowered.
7. Extend the articulated boom: Depress the foot
switch and push the articulated boom telescoping
switch upwards – the articulated boom will extend.
(if equipped)
8. Retract the articulated boom: Depress the foot
switch and pull the articulated boom telescoping
switch downwards – the articulated boom will re-
tract. (if equipped)
9. Raise the jib: Depress the foot switch and push
the jib luffing switch upwards – the jib will be raised.
(if equipped)
10. Lower the jib: Depress the foot switch and pull the
jib luffing switch downwards – the jib boom will be
lowered. (if equipped)
For machines equipped with HV mode functionality: if
the main boom is raised by more than 10° the HV mode
indicator will flash slowly, indicating that the HV mode
can be activated. Move the HV mode enable switch –
the main boom will change into HV mode. In HV mode,
any movement of the main boom movement switch will
cause the main boom to start raising/lowering vertically
or extending/retracting horizontally.
NOTICE
• In HV mode, the speed of the main boom’s vertical
and horizontal movements cannot be adjusted.
• In HV mode, the machine cannot perform main
boom luffing and telescoping operations simulta-
neously. The main boom will stop moving if the op-
erator attempts to perform simultaneous
movements.
