7.12 STORAGE
Mobile elevating work platforms should be stored in pla-
ces that are protected from rain, humidity, sunlight, cor-
rosive gases, and have good ventilation.
In order to ensure the machine can be operated nor-
mally after prolonged storage, the following measures
should be taken when storing the machine:
1. Retract and lower the boom to the stowed position.
2. Close and lock all panels and gate locks on the
machine.
3. Push in the emergency stop button on the ground
controls and platform controls, turn the key switch to
the OFF position and remove the key.
4. Press the main power switch to OFF.
5. Chock the wheels.
6. Wipe off all dust and oil from the machine to keep it
clean.
7. Apply lubricating oil to corrosive parts.
8. When long-term storage is required, the fuel (if
equipped with engine) and water should be drained,
and the positive and negative terminal of the battery
should be disconnected.
9. For a machine stored for more than three months,
idle the machine every three months for not less
than one hour each time, and clean and maintain
the machine.
10. For a machine stored for more than one and a half
years, a comprehensive inspection and mainte-
nance on the machine should be carried out before
use, aging seals and filter elements should be re-
placed as appropriate.
