Turning on Headset BT Mode
Press the headset key on the phone. The key's LED lights up, indicating that headset mode is now
the active audio mode for calls. Additionally, headset mode is indicated by the headset symbol and the
letters "BT"
on the left side of the status line (FW v8.7.6 and higher) (Fig. 7) .

Making Calls in Headset BT Mode
Bluetooth headsets do not support o-hook on idle. Therefore the voice dialing function on the headset
must be activated for dialing, except for tone schemes using local DTMF tones, like the USA.
Turning on Voice Dialing
On three tested headsets, the voice dialing function is activated by pressing the call key for approx. 1
to 2 seconds until you hear the "voice dial" message or signal (pressing the key for too long resulted in
turning the headset o). Please, refer to the headset's manual for further information.
Dialing
You can either press the call key on the headset or the OK key
on the phone to begin dialing a phone
number entered manually or selected from the directory or a call list.
Tone schemes using local DTMF tones (e.g., USA): The voice dial function is not required. Enter the
number on the phone‘s keypad and briefly press the call key to dial.
Other dialing methods.
Tone schemes without local DTMF tones (e.g., Germany): Enter the number on the phone‘s
keypad and long-press the headset‘s call key to voice dial the number or press the phone‘s OK
key / to dial.
Directory and call lists: Select a contact in the directory or a call from a call list and long-press
the headset‘s call key to voice dial the number or press the phone‘s OK key to dial.
Accepting Calls in Headset Mode
Briefly press the call key on the headset or press the OK key
on the phone.
Ending Calls
Briefly press the headset‘s call key or press the Cancel key
on the phone.
