8 WHEEL BALANCING IN MOTORCYCLE MODE
By enabling the “motor-cycle wheel balancing” function (see Figure 45 on page 35) the SPACE
wheel balancers can also balance motorcycle wheels.
From the opening page, press the "centre key" to select car (Figure 31) or motorcycle (Figure
32) balancing mode.
Figure 31 Figure 32
The "motorcycle" mode automatically recalculates the wheel distance measurement,
increasing this by the length of the optional extension GAR181 A1.
To fit the distance extension, the old non-threaded end part of the arm must be removed and
the threaded one fitted (see Figure 33). The extension will only have to be screwed up when
balancing is performed in "motorcycle" mode.
Figure 33
Balancing procedures are identical for both modes (car/motorcycle).
By selecting motorcycle, besides dynamic balancing (see para. 6 on page 13) STATIC
balancing and/or ALU-S (para. 7.4 on page 22) can also be performed, by pressing the "F2
key" from the opening page.
