way ‘Sure-Seal’ connector. Take care to assemble this connector in
the correct orientation. Press the two halves of the connector fully
together to ensure a good waterproof seal.
When you power-on the system, a small light built into the back of the sensor
will light up each time it senses a target. Use this light to test the sensor.
The Stack ST669 wheel speed sensor is compatible with the Tach–Timer
and may be used if circumstances do not allow you to use the ST670.

External shift light (optional)
Optionally, you can install an external shift light. If you do this, the
external light will operate at the same time as the rightmost shift light.
If you connect an external shift light, make certain that its bulb rating does not
exceed 2 watts. You will damage the Tach–Timer if your external light draws
more than 2 watts.
Before you install an external shift light, you should note the following:
• Select a location for the shift light that the driver can see easily.
• Stack can supply an external shift light that you can connect di-
rectly to the Tach–Timer. You can also request a special shrouded
version that you can mount on top of the dashboard to be in the
direct line of sight for the driver.
