Daily checks before use
– Visually inspect the entire truck (in particu-
lar wheels and storage table) for obvious
damage.
– Visually inspect the battery attachment and
cable connections.
– Check the storage table for visible damage
such as cracks.
– Make sure the load chains are evenly ten-
sioned.
– Check the entire truck as well as the sur-
face beneath it for signs of fluid leakage.
– Check drive wheels and load wheels for
damage.
– Inspect all decals and the data/capacity
plate for condition and legibility.
– Inspect the battery connector and its cables
for damage.
Perform operational check
– Close the safety gates.
– Insert the key in the key switch and turn it to
the “ON” position .
– Pull up the emergency brake switch.
– Test the emergency stop switch.
– Test the horn by pressing the "warning sig-
nal" button.
– Test the safety gates.
– Test the service and parking brake.
– Check the operation of the brake.
– Test the steering.
– Test the hydraulic funciton.
– Test the travel function.
– Test the lighting(work light, etc).
– Test the control and display and check for
damage.
– Test micro switch setting
WARNING
Before the multi function vehicle can be commis-
sioned, operated or a load unit lifted, the driver must
ensure that there is nobody within the hazardous
area.
CAUTION
If damage or other defects are identified on the truck
during the following inspections, the truck must not
be used until it has been properly repaired.
Defects must be reported to the supervisor or the re-
sponsible fleet manager immediately so that repairs
by the authorised service can be arranged.
