Safety regulations for handling
lithium batteries
The truck must be parked and kept safe be-
fore any operations on batteries are under
taken. Only trained and authorized personnel
are permitted to charge, service and replace
the batteries. Always wear protective clothing
(e.g. safety goggles and safety gloves) when
working on cells .
Fire protection measures:
Smoking and nak-
ed flames are not permitted when handling
batteries. No inflammable substances or
spark-generating materials must be present or
stored within a distance of 2 meters of the
truck parked for battery re-charging. The loca-
tion must be well ventilated and fire fighting
equipment must be kept ready.

Safety regulations for Charging the bat-
tery
– Before charging, check all cables and plug
connections for visible signs of damage.
– Before start and finish charging make sure
power is turn OFF.
– There must be no inflammable material or
operating equipment that causes sparks
within a distance of at least 2,5 m in the
surrounding area.
– The room must be ventilated. Fire protec-
tion equipment must be available.
