6.4 STOP DRILLING
After finishing hole drilling, push the motor pilot control lever back. Move the drilling
tool up and down within short distance to blow away the rock powder. Raise up the drilling
tool above ground. Stop air fan when the impactor is close to drilling hole. Don’t stop
drilling until impactor leaves out of hole.
6.5 DISASSEMBLY OF KELLY BAR
(1) When drilling depth meets request, push motor pilot control lever back. Move the
drilling tool up and down within short distance to blow away the rock powder.
(2)Stop the blowing of impactor and lift drilling tool to place the lower jaw of the sixth
Kelly and the upper jaw of the fifth Kelly on the jaw of the upper and lower rod discharger,
and stop the rotation of swing mechanism. Clamp the sixth Kelly with the lower rod
discharger, and clamp the fifth Kelly with upper rod discharger, and then rod discharger
works to loosen the junction thread between the sixth Kelly and the fifth Kelly, at last,
separate that by rotating swing mechanism anticlockwise.
(3) Press down and hold the slip switch to open the slip, and at the same time, swing the
mechanical boom to the drilling hole center; and then press and hold the slip floating switch
to lift the sixth Kelly till the female joint at the lower end a little higher than the tray chuck of
the rod carousel. And release the slip floating switch, and grasp the Kelly;
(4) Rotary head rotate anticlockwise to loosen the thread between short joint and the sixth
Kelly;
(5) Mechanical boom works to swing the sixth Kelly into the rod carousel.
(6) Lower swing mechanism lower till the female joint approaches the male joint of the fifth
Kelly. Rotate swing mechanism to connect it with the fifth Kelly.
(7) Lift up the drilling tool, and repeat (2)~(6) till the sixth Kelly to the second Kelly all are
unloaded into the rod carousel.
(8) Lower swing mechanism till the female joint approaches the male joint of the first Kelly.
Rotate the swing mechanism clockwise to connect it with the first Kelly. And then lift up the
drilling tool till the drill bit a little higher than ground.
6.6 NOTES OF DRILL FRAME RETURNING
1When the drill stand falls back, the compensation cylinder must be fully extended.
2The rotary head must be pushed down to the sensor attachment position.
