PROBLEMS CAUSES SOLUTION
Superheated engine. Check the valves and fi x them.
Consult the engine manual.
The engine tends to overheat. Cooling water low Check the cooling water level.
Radiator plug defective Replace with new radiator plug
Radiator fi ns clogged Clean the radiator.
Air fi lter clogged Clean the air fi lter.
Belt slackened or defective Tension the belt or replace it with
a new belt
The engine oil pressure is low. Low oil level
Top up the oil until the correct level.
Oil fi lter clogged Replace with a new fi lter.
Oil leaks Locate the leak and fi x it.
Excessively high engine temperature Check the cooling system.
Exhaust gases are either black Incorrect fuel Fill with the correct fuel.
or grey.
Incorrect synchronization of Contact an authorized dealer.
pump injectors
Dirty or malfunctioning injectors Contact an authorized dealer.
The exhaust gas is white. Incorrect fuel Fill with the correct fuel.
Engine cool
Let the engine rev until it warms up.
Dirty or malfunctioning injectors Contact an authorized dealer.
The battery will not get charged. Clamps slackened or corroded Clean the clamps and tighten them.
Alternator belt slackened or Tension the belt or replace it with a
defective belt. new belt.
The alternator will not charge. Contact an authorized dealer..
