11. OPTION -- ProifBus DP CONFIG (F5)
This section describes the option that permits the BC360 terminal to communicate to a
PROFIBUS L2-DP master according to DIN 19245. The option consists of a module and
software that resides in the BC360 terminal, which implements the data exchange.
The PROFIBUS connection is available at two locations on the PROFIBUS PCB. The first is a
female 9 pin D subminiature connector, which is the PROFIBUS standard connection.

To config the Profibus network, a GSD file is required first to let the network to recognize the
slave device. You can download the latest GSD file from our website or contact with our support
technician to get it.
PROFIBUS parameter setup
To configure the BC360 terminal for a PROFIBUS PCB, select F5 in setup, then select the
following options.
F5.1 Weight Data Type
0 = integer weight in display units
1 = integer counts in increments
F5.2 Rack Address Enter 0-126 for the Rack Address
