Buffer Module
This section describes the Buffer module (part number 23413122-000-0) used in the
SDU-2000e Expansion shelf. The Buffer module buffers the backplane and clock
signals sent from the main shelf; the modules are installed in slots 15 and 16 of the
SDU-2000e. Symmetricom recommends a minimum of one Buffer module in each
expansion shelf; a second Buffer module provides redundancy.
Status LED Indicators
The Buffer module indicators (LEDs) are shown in Figure 8-16 and described in
Table 8-16.
