Separating the Si gnal from Noise
Now you want to analyz e t he signal shape and ignore the noise. To
reduce random noise in the oscilloscope display, do these steps:
1. Push the acquire MENU button.
2. Push the Mode bottom button.
3. Select the Average acquisition mode.
Averaging reduce s random noise and makes it easier to see detai l i n
a signal. In the example below, a ring shows on the rising and falling
edges of the signal when the noise is removed.
