General Safety Summ ary
Review t he following safety precautions to avoid injury and prevent
damage to this produc t or any produc ts connected to it. To avoid
potential hazards, use this product only as specified.
To Avoid Fire or Personal Injury
Use Proper Power Cord. Use only the power cord specified for this
product and ce rtified for the count ry of use.
Connect and Disconnect Properly. Connect the probe output to the
measurement instrument before connec ting the probe to the circuit
under test. Disconnect the probe input and the probe ground from the
circuit under test before disconnecting the probe from the measure-
ment instrument.
Ground the Product. Whe n opera ting with AC power, this product is
grounded through the grounding conductor of the power cord. To
avoid e lectric shock, the grounding conductor must be connected to
earth ground. Before m aking connecti ons to the i nput or output
terminals of the product, ensure that the product is properly
grounded.
When operating with battery power, this product must still be
grounded. To prevent electric shock, always connect a grounding
wire bet ween the ground terminal on the rear panel a nd earth ground.
Observe All Terminal Ratings. To avoid fire or shock hazard, observe all
ratings and ma rkings on t he produc t. Consult the product ma nual for
further ratings information before making connect ions to the product.
Connect the ground lead of the probe to e arth ground only.
