4.6 Router mode
4.6.1 Overview
In Router mode, this device serves as a router to provide internet access for wired and wireless
clients. The PoE/WAN/LAN2 port functions as a WAN port used to connect to the internet.
Network requirement: You want to use the AP to provide a WiFi network to provide internet access
for wired and wireless clients.
Configuration procedure of setting Router mode
Step 1 Connect a computer to the LAN1 port of the AP.
Step 2 Log in to the web UI of the AP, and choose Quick Setup to enter the configuration page.
Step 3 Select Router mode, and click Next.
Step 4 Select your internet connection type, and set the related parameters. Take PPPoE as an
example here.
1. Select PPPoE.
2. Enter the PPPoE user name and password provided by your ISP, which are both admin in
this example.
