Bleeding service brake
This work must be carried out by two
persons!
Let the engine run at medium speed.
Step on brake pedal (86/12) halfway.
Open bleeder screws (87/2) on the two brake
housings of the front axle one after the other
until the braking medium (hydraulic oil) emerges
without bubbles.
Collect the waste oil do not allow it to
seep into the ground.
Dispose of according to regulations!
Close bleeder screws.
Open bleeder screws (TW85, TW85
S - 87/3;
TW85AL – 87/4) on the two brake housings of
the rear axle one after the other until the braking
medium (hydraulic oil) emerges without bubbles.
Close bleeder screws.
Open the bleeder screw on the brake inching
(hydraulic pump “Travel”) until the brake fluid
(hydraulic oil) escapes without bubbles.
Close bleeder screw.
Bleeding the spring-loaded brake
This work must be carried out by two
persons!
Secure the machine against rolling away, e.g. by
means of supports etc.
Let the engine run at medium speed.
Release the excavator brake and the parking
brake.
Open bleeder screw (87/1) on the brake housing
of the front axle until the braking medium
(hydraulic oil) emerges without bubbles. Close
bleeder screw.
