5.4.3 Clamshell grab
During grab operations, the change-over
switch (41/53) must be set to “Rock
breaker OFF”.
The control light in the switch is OFF.
Changing procedure
• Attach the clamshell grab and close the quick-
attach system.
• Retract the bucket cylinder piston rod
completely and close the ball valves (51/3).
Whilst assembling and using a clamshell
grab with quick-attach system, the bucket
cylinder piston rod must be fully
retracted.
• Connect the swivel motor to the couplings
(51/1-additional control circuit) and the
"Open/Close" function to the couplings 51/2-
bucket cylinder).
When the grab has been dismantled, re-
open the ball valves (51/3).
