7.9.16 Swing gear
The swing gear is maintenance-free.
Recirculation lubrication is provided by
the hydraulic system.
7.9.17 Swing connection
Lubrication of toothing
• The lubricating nipple (90/1) mounted in the
driver’s cab lubricates the teeth of the ring gear
via a nozzle tube (90/2).
• To this purpose, slowly slew the uppercarriage
and lubricate it thoroughly at the same time
using a grease gun.
Lubrication of bearing races
• The bearing races are lubricated via the
lubricating nipple (90/3) mounted in the driver’s
cab and through a lubricating pipe (90/4).
• Slowly slew the uppercarriage to the left and
right, and lubricate it thoroughly until both
gaskets (90/5) have a collar of fresh grease.
