4 Operation
40 TW85
4.4 Heating / Ventilation / Air-conditioning
The heater and air conditioner only work
when the engine is running!
Heating
The heating is connected to the coolant circuit
and is adjusted via the control (14/17).
The heater fan is operated using the switch
(14/49) and can be operated with fresh air and
re-circulating air.
Open aspirating holes (14/25) for re-circulating
air mode (pull out the slides).
The air is distributed by adjusting the air vents.
Ventilation
In ventilating mode, the control of the heating
(14/17) remains in position “Cold”.
The fan is operated using the switch (14/49).
Air-conditioning (option)
The air-conditioning unit should be
switched on for approx. 5 minutes at
least once a month to lubricate the
compressor seals.
Adjust the re-circulating air mode, open
aspirating holes (14/25).
Control (14/17) in position "Cold".
Turn the air-conditioning unit on with the rotary
switch (14/50-1).
Use the turning knob (14/50-2) to set up the
required temperature.
How to achieve good cooling
performance:
After switching on the air-conditioning
system, open the windows 2-3 minutes
to allow the hot air (stored heat) to
escape.
Keep windows and doors closed.
It is recommended to cool down the
vehicle interior temperature by no
more than 6 to 8°C below outside
temperature.
