Changing coolant
Only open the radiator cap when the
engine is cold. There is danger of
scalding when checking hot coolant!
• Park the machine on level ground.
• Turn off the engine and allow the cooling
system to cool.
• Remove the cooler cap (59/1).
• Unscrew the water-drain plug (61/1) on the
cylinder block and drain coolant.
• Remove the bottom water hose from the cooler
and drain coolant.
• If necessary, flush the cooling system with
clean water.
• Re-fit the drain plug to the engine and the water
hose.
• Fill the cooling system with coolant (see
Technical data section 3.9) and close the cap.
• Start the engine and bring to operating
temperature; turn off the engine and allow to
cool.
• Check the coolant level and top up (several
times, if necessary).
