Upload DSM Image to GCP Storage
In order to create a GCP Cloud environment, you must:
l "Access the GCP" below
l "Create a GCP Storage Bucket" below
l "Upload the DSM image to the GCP Storage Bucket" below
Access the GCP
1. Log into the Google Cloud at: https://console.cloud.google.com/
2. Navigate to the Cloud Storage section at:
https://console.cloud.google.com/marketplace/details/google-cloud-platform/cloud-storage
Create a GCP Storage Bucket
1. Click Create Bucket. Follow the on-screen prompts to create a bucket.
2. For encryption option, select Google-managed key.
3. Click Create.
Upload the DSM image to the GCP Storage Bucket
1. In the Cloud Storage browser, click on the bucket that you just created.
2. Click Upload Files.
3. In the Explorer file, select the DSM-GCP tar file to upload and click Open.
Create a GCP Image
Google Cloud Platform converts your DSM tar image to a Google Cloud image so that it can create a virtual instance
from that image.
To create an image page:
1. In the Compute sidebar, select Computer Engine > Images.
2. Click Create Image.
3. Enter a name for your image.
4. For the source, select Cloud Storage File.
5. In the Cloud Storage field, click Browse and navigate to your bucket.
6. Select the tar file for the image.
7. For location, select Multi-regional.
8. Fill in any other required information.
9. In the Encryption section, select Google-manage Key.
10. Click Create.
