13 USING CONTROL AN DISPLAY UNIT TIGO/VEHO

Note All information in this chapter is more information for the therapist. Information
on basic operation is contained in the user section.
13.1 Sub menu
Permanent changes are possible for some settings:
Motor power/resistance
Leg/upper body exerciser
Spasm programme
Key sound setting (on/off)
Setting spasm detection
Values will remain unchanged if the power supply is cut off.
Sub menu symbol shows that you are in the sub menu.
Press buttons + at the same time until the control
and display unit displays the sub menu.
Set maximum motor power using the exercising resistance button.
Set leg/upper body exerciser using switch button Leg/upper body exerciser.
Foot symbol: Leg exerciser is active
Hand symbol: Upper body exerciser is active
Foot/hand symbol: Leg and upper body exerciser active
Set spasticity programme using button Direction of rotation.
Note Enables the direction of rotation to be set, in which the exercise will resume after
a spasm has been recognised.
Setting options:
forward (arrow up)
Always start in forward direction after a spasm was recognised
(recommended if user tends to have stretch spasms).
backward (arrow down)
Always start in backward direction after a spasm was recognised
(recommended if user tends to have flexion spasms).
alternating (both arrows)
Change direction of rotation after a spasm was recognised.
continue (no arrow)
Start in direction used previous to spasm being recognised.
Set spasm detection using button Anti-spasm-control:
Note Enables the threshold to be set at which the sensor system recognises a forbidden
user's movement and stop the motor, in order to minimise the risk of overstrain.
Setting options:
low (1)
Users with very sensitive joints and tendons. Motor will stop even
at slight resistance.
medium (2)
Users with less sensitive joints.
high (3)
Users with severe spasms. Motor will stop only at strong resistance.
